I would like to recognize Jade Hazel for the extraordinary care she has given my father during his stay in the Transitional Care Unit.

From the moment Jade walks into the room, she brings with her a warmth and positivity that is genuinely heart-lifting, especially during this incredibly difficult time as my father battles GBM. Her attitude alone changes the energy in the room, and it has meant more to our family than words can express.

Even as my father struggles with significant cognitive decline, Jade treats him with the same dignity, respect, and compassion she would give to any fully aware and healthy individual. She speaks to him kindly, explains everything she's doing, and makes sure he feels safe and valued. It is clear that Jade sees the person behind the diagnosis, and that level of humanity is rare and deeply touching.

Jade is not only compassionate but exceptionally skilled, truly a sharp blade in the drawer. She performs her duties with confidence, precision, and genuine care. She consistently goes above and beyond, often doing more than what is required simply because she wants her patients to feel comforted and supported.

There are times when our family cannot be at the bedside, and during those moments, we have absolute peace knowing my father is in Jade's care. She treats him as if he were a member of her own family, and that trust is invaluable. Knowing he is safe, respected, and loved during the hardest moments of his life has brought our family tremendous comfort.

For her unwavering kindness, professionalism, compassion, and dedication, Jade Hazel embodies everything the DAISY Award represents. She has made a profound impact on my father's care and on our entire family, and we are truly grateful for her.
