Lexi always did a phenomenal job caring for our son.
We had the honor of meeting Lexi through the SBU in the NICU. Our son was born at 25 weeks and 5 days. A few days after he was born, Lexi was working with him, and we instantly connected.

She always made time to chat with us during our visit to learn what was going on in our lives. We ended up connecting in so many ways, figuring out we graduated from the same high school, and found out our dogs even have the same name!

We quickly added her to be one of our son'sprimary night nurses because of the excellent care she provided and the connection she had with him. She signed up for him all the time and quickly became his nighttime NICU momma!

Lexi always did a phenomenal job caring for our son. She was very detailed and precise in everything she did. I will never forget our late-night phone calls while I was up pumping to check in on him. She always provided a detailed update - good or bad.

Lexi had great attention to detail. There were a few nights she had to call and share that they would be intubating our son and running tests to figure out what was going on. Because Lexi knew him so well, her knowledge of who he is at baseline and her overall thoroughness, they were able to catch the infection quickly and provide treatment.

This happened not only once, but twice. Without her, I don’t know what would have happened. We are so beyond grateful for her!

We were so sad when we heard she was moving to day shift because we wouldn't have our nighttime phone calls. But when she didn’t have him as his nurse on days, she always checked in on him or said hi.

It was such a blessing to have Lexi as our nurse. She showed so much love and compassion. She is truly extraordinary at what she does!

We were so blessed to have her on the day of discharge as well! It was so special to have someone who had been with him through some of the toughest, scariest times be right next to him on one of the most special days in his life, a day we dreamed of - going home!

An emotional day for sure!

She not only impacted his life but also our lives! We are forever grateful and are so happy we are still connecting over a year later!
