I adore Vilma. Even though my hospitalization was only three days, she made me feel so secure and well taken care of. She quickly impressed me with her knowledge, listening, and leadership skills, as well as her assistance and guidance of her team.

Two of her trainees stated she was a great mentor, patient, and knowledgeable. I will add that she also demonstrated the ability to adapt and to multitask, which are great qualities to have. She went above and beyond in so many ways, but I will share the one that was huge to me. I was getting antsy, walking circles in my room. Vilma sensed this and offered to take me on a walk around the floor. It was the reboot that I needed. We had great talks about life that I enjoyed, and it also distracted me from everything.

She was very welcoming, lighthearted, and kind not only to me but to my husband when he visited. He was obviously very worried and full of questions, but she had a calming effect on him. It was clear she was a leader, but more importantly, she was all about teamwork and helping wherever needed to ensure they all provided the best service to patients and made Kaiser proud.
