I am honored to nominate Paige Bonthuis for her extraordinary dedication and skill as an ICU nurse. Recently, Paige demonstrated exceptional leadership during a critical situation that required immediate action. Without hesitation, she stepped into the role of a direct leader, ran a code, and prepared for a bedside operation on a critically ill patient. Her ability to remain calm under pressure and make rapid and sound clinical decisions ultimately saved this patient's life. Paige's actions showcased not only her advanced critical thinking and clinical expertise but also her unwavering compassion for her patients and commitment to her team. Paige exemplifies what it means to be a nurse, someone who inspires confidence, acts decisively, and prioritizes patient care above all else.
