Recently, my dad has been a “frequent flyer” in the Emergency Department. Being an RN myself, it has been very difficult for me to navigate being on this side of patient care. Danielle has taken care of my dad two of the three times he has been in the ED. She is an exceptional nurse, always kind and always attentive.

Seeing her face in triage this last visit was a breath of fresh air. While the entire department was very busy, she took the time to make sure his care was expedited by getting blood work as soon as we got to the room. She also frequently checked back in to see how he was feeling. Working with Danielle, I know that we are not the exception; she treats all of her patients as though they are her own family.

She has been the calming voice for my family and me multiple times this year. There are no words, nor accolades, that properly express how much I appreciate what she has done for my family. I am confident that she provides the highest-quality care to all of her patients. Wilkes Medical Center is blessed to have her, and I am proud to call her a co-worker.
