The entire labor and delivery unit is phenomenal and made one of the hardest days of my life just a little bit easier.  I would have to say specifically Erin, who worked on the night shift, was the kindest person I have ever met and especially dealt with in any healthcare setting. She goes absolutely above and beyond for her patients and cares for them as if they were her own family. I could not give any higher recommendation for this precious lady who cared for me as I labored with my son, whom I knew would be born lifeless. Other than just routine care, she provided me comfort, uplifting words, encouragement, and the list goes on. She personally took care of any and all needs that I had during the nights of my stay at Jackson. She knew that she couldn’t take away the pain from my broken heart, but she made it more bearable and came to personally tell me goodbye at the end of her shift on the day I was to be discharged. I will never forget my stay. As I said, it was the worst day of my life, but more importantly, I will never forget Erin and the kindness she showed me in my weakest and most devastating moments. I wished she could have been on shift as my nurse throughout my entire stay. If anyone deserves this Award, it would most definitely be her. When I have other children in the future, I couldn’t imagine giving birth anywhere other than at Jackson because you sincerely have the most superior nursing staff that I had the pleasure to get to know. I received the most touching card in the mail weeks later to let me know that even then, they were still thinking of my precious angel baby boy and me.
