Not a day passes by without Mambo going above and beyond, not only caring for her patients and teammates but also preparing for the next day, picking cases, and looking out for everything avoidable. Her presence is like a sun ray in a chaotic day; her laugh automatically puts you in a better mood; her attention to detail (updating cards and preferences is unparalleled); her dedication, tenacity, and unbelievable positivity truly add a lot of joy and competency to our team.

Regardless of how difficult or chaotic a case may be, Mambo has one sentence that she lives and practices by: " I'm fine, we're all fine, everything is going to be fine," and just like that, the chaos comes to a standstill. Her resilience and practicing ethics are something that in my almost 30 years in the OR, you don't come across often, and when you do, you want to shine the light on her, as she can be an inspiring beacon of dedication, ethics, and teamwork.
