I would like to nominate Selena for the DAISY Award because she truly represents what it means to be a compassionate, dependable, and selfless nurse. During a recent Code Blue, she immediately took charge and demonstrated incredible leadership and composure under high pressure. Her calm direction and quick thinking helped ensure that the patient received the best possible care in that moment. This is just one example of who she is every single day. She’s always the first to step in when someone needs help, whether it’s assisting with a difficult patient, covering for a coworker, or offering a word of encouragement during a stressful shift. Selena never hesitates to put others before herself, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure both her patients and others are supported. I believe she should be recognized for the positive impact she makes on everyone around her.
