Abby is the standard for others to emulate and is deserving of this award. My son was diagnosed with lymphoma/ Leukemia on his birthday. Abby and others took the initiative to decorate his room and provide him with a birthday box.

A couple of days later, he had surgery. Due to complications, he was moved to the ICU for a couple of days. Abby, without hesitation or guidance, packed up our belongings and personally brought them to our ICU room.

Once back in peds, my son experienced headaches and back pain after spinal taps. Abby coordinated with other nurses to offer solutions until medications could be given.
