I am moved to nominate Luz for The DAISY Award. She went above and beyond to support me and my baby and me, taking extra time to explain options, offering comfort, and showing compassion in every interaction.

When I casually mentioned wishing for ice cream to cheer me up, she made it happen on our way to the NICU, where she personally took us late at night so I could see my baby first thing in the morning. She even switched shifts to continue our care, providing not only consistency but true friendship, reassurance, her kindness, and empathy.
