At 24 weeks, I went to the L&D unit to deliver our daughter, who had passed. Kaylee was our nurse that night. She was so compassionate. When our daughter was born, she treated her body so gently with dignity. She offered to make extra hand and footprints for our other kids, which I hadn't thought to ask for. When she went off shift, she told me my daughter was beautiful. Death had already made changes in her physical form, but it was a kind acknowledgement of the beauty of her life and spirit and meant a lot to me.
