Thank you, Jamie, so much for helping us welcome our baby into this world.
Jamie was amazing, and she went above and beyond. My wife went into labor at 32 weeks and 6 days. Jamie got on shift at 7 am and was amazing. She went above and beyond to keep my wife and me comfortable and took care of all my wife's needs throughout all the tests performed in the morning and throughout her C-Section delivery.
Jamie was thoughtful and kind and kept both me and my wife calm and well informed when the sudden decision was made that she had to deliver our baby so many weeks early. She was in the operating room with us throughout the delivery and took excellent care of my wife in recovery, then made sure we were well settled in once we got to our room in Mother and Baby. She went with us to the NICU to see our baby for the first time and was very informative about the care our baby was receiving.
It was both the scariest and the happiest day of my life all in one day. I had received the call at 3 am, and I needed to rush to Illinois because my wife was in pain and had to go to the hospital. I rushed to Illinois and got to the hospital by 9. Then, to learn that she would be going into labor so early, we were terrified.
Jamie made the scariest part of that day with the worry and uncertainty of delivering so early feel fine. She answered all our questions and was amazing throughout the whole situation. Without Jamie there to help us, we would have been beyond stressed out through the delivery. She was by far the best nurse we have interacted with throughout our entire stay.
We could tell that she truly cared about us and our situation. And she kept a cool head while helping us navigate through all the stress of testing and leading up to delivery.
If I could give her a rating on a 5-star scale, my wife and I would give her 15 out of 5. Seriously, Jamie is awesome. She is an invaluable asset to CDH, expecting mothers, and stressed-out fathers! Give her a raise, give her a bonus, give her an award, or anything. She made our delivery experience go as smoothly as it could have possibly gone and turned terrifying news into one of the happiest days of our lives.
Thank you, Jamie, so much for helping us welcome our baby into this world. You seriously rock, and words truly can't express how much we appreciated you through the entire process! We hope you continue to enjoy what you do and bring as much joy and clarity to many expecting parents throughout your career. You've been the best nurse we have interacted with so far, and we thank you truly!
