Taylor had the foresight to prepare a detailed letter for TSA, which allowed me to bring the necessary medical supplies in my carry-on without issue. Her proactive support made the experience smoother and less stressful for both of us.
I would like to nominate Nurse Taylor S., who works alongside Dr. G in Pediatric Surgery, for her outstanding care and support. I've had the privilege of working with this team since becoming the foster parent of a now 6-year-old boy. He was born with an imperforate anus, which required the use of a colostomy bag. When he came into my care at age 4, navigating his medical needs was challenging, especially since foster parents don't have immediate access to a child's full medical history. Nurse Taylor was instrumental in guiding me through the process of gaining access to MyChart, collaborating with the social work team, and providing phone updates to coordinate and ultimately schedule his colostomy reversal. After surgery, Taylor went above and beyond by personally checking in on him, lifting his spirits during recovery. Her visit meant even more to him because they share a name, and as a proud Swiftie, he was delighted by that connection.

Most recently, we traveled to Ireland, a trip that required extensive legal and logistical coordination. Taylor had the foresight to prepare a detailed letter for TSA, which allowed me to bring the necessary medical supplies in my carry-on without issue. Her proactive support made the experience smoother and less stressful for both of us. Navigating both DCFS requirements and medical needs has been complex, but working with Taylor has empowered me to feel confident and supported in caring for this incredible boy. I'm deeply grateful for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication-not only to his well-being but also to supporting me as his caregiver. My heartfelt thanks to the entire team, and especially to Nurse Taylor, for the care and commitment you bring to families like ours. With heartfelt thanks - and a little Swiftie spirit, "Long live all the mountains we moved."
