Carrie has always been a true winner every day through my husband’s cancer treatments at the Frankfort Cancer Center. However, she went above and beyond in August. My husband was scheduled for a PET scan. He was being prepped for beginning radiation treatments and had various appointments scheduled that were all related.

When he arrived for the scan, his blood sugar level was too high, and it had to be postponed. Time was crucial, and other appointments would need to be changed because of the cancellation. Radiology could reschedule for a couple of days later, but how would he get his sugar level low enough? His primary care physician was completely full and backed up.

Carrie worked with the primary care physician, the physician’s nurse, radiology, and my husband to get his medication adjusted in time for the next available PET scan appointment. Thanks, Carrie!
