Dianae consistently goes above and beyond for her patients, their families, and her coworkers. Recently, Diana was caring for a very critical patient who was on multiple vasopressors, Tablo dialysis, intubated, and struggling to oxygenate. Despite how intense and demanding the situation was, Diana remained calm, focused, and tirelessly did everything in her power to care for the patient.

She managed complex interventions while constantly reassessing and responding to the patient's changing condition. What stood out even more was how she cared for the patient's wife during this incredibly difficult time. Diana took the time to answer her questions with compassion and clarity, helping her understand what was happening and offering emotional support when she needed it most.

Her ability to provide expert clinical care while also being a source of comfort is a true example of what nursing is all about. Diana is also an incredible teammate. She’s always willing to help, offers support when others are overwhelmed, and generously shares her knowledge when I or others have questions. Her work ethic, compassion, and skill make her not just a great nurse but a role model in our unit. Diana truly embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award, and I am grateful to work alongside her.
