When my 6-year-old daughter broke her hand, it was a scary and emotional experience for all of us. Amanda was the nurse who cared for us that day, and she made a meaningful difference in ways I will never forget. From the moment she entered the room, she was gentle, patient, and incredibly warm. My daughter was nervous and in pain, but Amanda spoke to her softly, explained everything in a way she could understand, and treated her with sincere kindness—not just as a patient, but as a little girl who needed comfort.

Amanda stayed with us through almost the entire visit. She worked quickly and skillfully on the computer while also staying present, engaged, and aware of how my daughter was feeling. She helped apply the splint to her hand and carefully placed her arm in a sling, making sure she was comfortable and reassured during each step. It was clear that she genuinely cared.

Another thing that stood out was how thoughtful she was with my other daughter, who was waiting with us. Amanda noticed she looked cold and offered her a blanket without us even having to ask. It was such a small gesture, but it showed how compassionate and attentive she is—not just to the patient but to the whole family. Amanda’s kindness, patience, and bedside manner turned a stressful situation into one where we felt supported, understood, and cared for.

Our experience at AdventHealth was truly exceptional, and so much of that is because of Amanda. She is an amazing nurse, and we are incredibly grateful for her.
