I recently had cancer surgery and was on the 5th floor post-surgery. I had wonderful care the entire time I was there from my RN’s and patient care techs, but I have a few RNs who were amazing and truly went above and beyond. I apologize for not knowing his last name, but Mac (McAllister) was one of those nurses.

From the moment I first met him, he was very professional but with kindness and compassion. This surgery along with the diagnosis was very scary for me. I had so many questions, and he never made me feel stupid for asking him or made me feel like I was bothering him. Prior to this surgery, I had brain surgery to remove a very large meningioma, so having a cancer surgery shortly after was devastating. He truly helped me recover emotionally and physically.
