From ensuring safety through thorough chart prepping to providing endless warm blankets, Alecia proves again and again that exceptional nursing practice and compassionate nursing practice go hand in hand. Alecia is the primary nurse "running" the infusion room in the Neurological Institute at Hillcrest Hospital. 

She continuously reviews preparation processes and is the "go-to" for all infusion-related issues and questions. When patients come to the infusion room for the first time, they are often nervous as they do not know what to expect. The care provided by Alecia ensures that the patient experience is exceptional. Her IV skills are outstanding, and that is usually the primary concern, causing patients to be nervous. She will take time to walk with patients who need to stretch their legs, is always actively listening when patients are speaking, and provides comfort to patients both physically and mentally.
