Susan went above and beyond to help make the patient feel more comfortable, to encourage her to stay in the hospital to continue antibiotics when the patient wanted to leave AMA and have surgery at a later date, which would be extremely dangerous for her. She personally went to the café and bought the patient dinner, knowing the patient was hungry and tired.

She was then able to move her to a different room on the floor for more privacy. Ultimately, Susan improved this patient's care, and without her, this patient would have left AMA and would not have received the care that she needed. We are so lucky to have her!
