My nurses were all wonderful. I apologize for not remembering all their names (I am a visual person, so I remember faces better than names, and I was in pain sometimes, as well as met so many people during my stay). Daville, as well as my night nurse that evening and the morning/daytime nurse whom Daville took over for after the shift change, were wonderful. I have anxiety, and she was very calming. She would kindly answer any and all of my many questions, never made me feel unintelligent for not knowing as much medically, and being alone at the hospital, I felt much more at ease and less alone with her help.

Additionally, she was very patient, kind, funny, personable, kept comfortable eye contact, always respectful, encouraging, and even took the time to call my parents to update them when I was unable to call myself (individually since they are divorced) which was something that she did not have to do; but was kind enough to take the time to do so instead of just leaving it for someone else and going home. I specifically had asked her if she would not mind because she had spent more time with me and was more familiar with what to update my parents on, compared to a new nurse who would have just arrived for their shift. Also, I would look forward to seeing her and knew I was "in good hands" when she would be taking care of me.

Lastly, Daville also took the time to come back to check on me before she left for the day. I even told her how I wish I had thought to bring cards to write Thank You Notes for nurses like her, so I hope this serves as a Thank You to Daville.
