Today, we are honored to recognize Meghan for the extraordinary care, compassion, and professionalism she brings to her nursing practice. Across multiple patient and family experiences, she consistently demonstrates what exemplary nursing truly looks like.
During one patient’s inpatient stay, Meghan provided exceptional care to a husband who was hard of hearing and living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. She demonstrated compassion and advocacy, taking the time to communicate clearly and slowly, repeating information as needed to ensure understanding. Despite a busy workload, she consistently checked in, spoke with family members upon arrival, and made her patient feel comfortable, heard, and truly known as a person. Her patience, kindness, and dedication made it evident that she deeply cares for those she serves.
In another family’s hospital experience, Meghan transformed what could have been a frightening and stressful time into one filled with dignity, trust, and compassion. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond—carefully explaining medications, treatments, and procedures in ways that eased anxiety and ensured the family felt informed and included.
