As an outstanding nurse, Rashae has exceeded all expectations by delivering compassionate care with genuine passion, kindness, skill, and trustworthiness. She has made a lasting impact on her patients and their families, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their healthcare journey.

According to one patient's family member, “Rashae was sweet, kind, personable, and extremely respectful of our wishes! She advocated for us and made sure she explained the benefits and risks of everything.“ Rashae's extraordinary qualities inspire her colleagues and patients. She exemplifies the true spirit of nursing and is a valuable asset to Midland Memorial Hospital.

Lori Dyess, Director of Women’s and Children’s Services, states, “Rashae Layton is the definition of a caring heart. Her compassion is what makes her the perfect Daisy recipient. She is such a sweet and genuine person, and we are lucky to have her in our Labor and Delivery unit.”

In alignment with Midland Health’s mission values of the Caring Heart, “She embodies the MMH mission of 'Caring Heart” by truly caring for the patients and helping mom with the birthing experience they plan or helping work through options when plans change, according to Dr. Kit Bredimus, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Midland Health.
