The DAISY Award exists to honor nurses who make a profound difference in the lives of their patients, and Bradley embodies this ideal fully.
I am nominating Bradley for the DAISY Award because he is, without question, the most extraordinary nurse. On a very scary day, Bradley transformed fear into comfort, anxiety into hope, and uncertainty into reassurance. His care went far beyond medical expertise; he saw me as a human being, as a mother, and as someone carrying the weight of both past pain and present fear.

I came to the hospital on a Sunday, in the early weeks of pregnancy, experiencing bleeding. My heart was heavy, not only with the fear of what was happening in that moment but also with the memory of a prior loss. Every “what if” ran through my mind. I was vulnerable, anxious, and unsure if I could bear another disappointment. It would have been easy in the busy, often rushed atmosphere of the ER to hurry me through, check my vitals, and move on to the next patient. But Bradley did the opposite. He slowed down. He gave me his full attention. He made me feel like I was the only person who mattered in that moment. From the moment he entered the room, his calm presence wrapped around me like a comforting blanket. He didn’t just treat me as a patient on a chart; he treated me as a person, a mother, a woman carrying fear, hope, and fragile emotions all at once. He sat at my bedside, looked me in the eyes, and truly listened. He didn’t just answer medical questions; he listened to my fears, my anxieties, and even the silent terror I couldn’t put into words. He saw me as a fearful mother, carrying both hope and pain in the same fragile heart, and he reminded me gently that it was okay to feel all of it, to cry, to worry, to hope, and to be afraid all at once. His words, his calm presence, and the time he took to care for me quieted my racing thoughts and brought a peace I didn’t know I could feel in an ER.

Bradley went above and beyond in every way. He returned to my room multiple times, always bringing the same warmth, patience, and genuine concern. He made sure every single question was answered, no matter how many times I asked. He reminded me to take care of myself and my baby, emotionally and physically, and he gave me the reassurance that I was not alone in that terrifying moment. Those words were lifelines. They anchored me when fear threatened to overwhelm me. What makes Bradley truly remarkable is that I know he treats every patient with this level of care. In a place where the pace is fast and the pressure is high, he slows down. He takes time. He gave the gift of presence, patience, and compassion, and that is exactly what I needed that day. He saw me, not just my medical condition, and his care extended far beyond anything I could have expected. He gave me dignity, reassurance, and emotional strength when I felt utterly vulnerable.

Bradley lives out the meaning of care 100%. He is extraordinary in every way; his kindness, his attention, his empathy, and his unwavering commitment to patients are unmatched. He transformed what could have been a day filled with fear and uncertainty into one of hope, support, and genuine human connection. The DAISY Award exists to honor nurses who make a profound difference in the lives of their patients, and Bradley embodies this ideal fully. He didn’t just care for my health; he cared for my heart, my spirit, and my peace of mind. He recognized my fear as a mother who had already experienced loss, and in his calm presence, he gave me hope again. His care left an indelible mark on my life that I will carry forever. Bradley is extraordinary. Bradley is remarkable. Bradley is the reason that on a day filled with fear, uncertainty, and past pain, I felt safe, seen, and genuinely cared for. He is a nurse who truly embodies the meaning of care.
