She and another nurse came in and gave my dad his last bath and cleaned him up so nicely and gently.
Jennifer is an amazing, caring, supportive nurse who went above and beyond for my family and me during a very difficult time. My family had to make a difficult decision to remove the vent from my dad and let him pass away peacefully. Jennifer was his RN the night and the following morning preceding this decision.
I stayed the night with my father that night, and Jennifer came in and sat with me and talked to me for at least 30 minutes. She went over everything that would happen the next morning as we removed the vent. She answered every question I had and questions I wouldn't have thought to ask, also. She and another nurse came in and gave my dad his last bath and cleaned him up so nicely and gently. She also brought in a tray with beverages and snacks on it.
We have a very large family, and she opened an additional room, so we had enough room for everyone to say goodbye. My dad's sister and brother-in-law live out of town and traveled 10 hours to make it. When they arrived by midnight, Jennifer let them into the room so they could say their goodbyes before we removed the vent the next morning. She also talked to several of my family members and answered any questions they had before she left. I can’t say enough good things about her.
I have worked in healthcare for 25 years myself, and she was just amazing.
