Fiona Dobson has been instrumental in leading and delivering a highly successful Open University Registered Degree Nurse programme at NGH since 2008 at NGH. Fiona demonstrates care and compassion to the students and colleagues. When issues and incidents arise, she acts swiftly and fairly to gain the outcome best for all concerned.

Fiona is responsive to queries and education requests, involves the PPD team with recruitment, curricula design, feedback, and NMC visit events. She keeps us fully informed about events and developments within the OU related to health and social care. She is accommodating and flexible with placement planning and meetings. Fiona’s outstanding quality is communication. She is approachable, reasonable, constructive and understanding.

Through her many years of experience, she brings a realistic, calm and practical approach to situations which inspires confidence. Fiona is a true role model for any healthcare professional, and she is always willing to share her experience for the good of the individual, whether that is a carer, patient, healthcare professional or learner. I wish Fiona all the very best in her retirement, but I will miss the outstanding professional relationship we have and the impeccable service we receive, all due to her.
