My patient had a CBI/Foley catheter that was continuously getting clots, causing issues. I had called Rachel (rapid response nurse) for assistance. She came into the patient's room with the biggest smile and eagerness to help.

The patient expressed his frustrations with her about everything going on and the pain, and she was so kind, really listened to him, and expressed her understanding. She also thoroughly explained everything that she was doing and how we would solve the problem. She was able to fix the catheter so the CBI could work. But then, at the end of this shift, it happened again. I called her again for assistance, and she happily came back to help us.

My patient called her his angel, and she really was; she came and saved us again and again! The patient said he could see her passion, professionalism, and love for this job, and with her help, we were able to show him how we work as a team on the floors. I am so thankful for Rache's help, her positivity, and her kindness to my patient and to me.
