Enedina is a truly exceptional operating room nurse who cared for me during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life—my hysterectomy. Though I didn’t know her name at the time, the impact she had on me was unforgettable. I later learned her name by asking the doctor at my follow-up appointment, because I couldn’t stop thinking about how much she meant to me during that experience.

I was deeply nervous about the procedure—not just because of the surgery itself, but because it felt like I was losing a part of myself. Emotionally, I was struggling. But this nurse was exactly what I needed, even before I could articulate it. She was warm, kind, and incredibly reassuring. She explained every step with such clarity and compassion that it eased my fear.

More than anything, she made me feel seen, safe, and genuinely cared for. There is a lot I don’t remember about the procedure, but I remember her. I remember how she made me feel—respected, supported, and not alone. She went far beyond her job description that day. She didn’t just take care of me physically—she took care of my spirit. I will forever be grateful for her presence, and I can’t thank her enough for how she treated me.
