Christine not only fulfilled her duties with excellence and efficiency, but she also brought comfort, joy, and genuine human connection to a patient who truly needed it.
My mother recently underwent an AFib ablation and, due to previous complications, was required to stay overnight. During her stay, she was cared for by Nurse Christine, whose compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism truly stood out. From the moment of my mother’s arrival, Christine provided exceptional, gentle care.
She carefully cleaned her, changed her dressings, and helped her into a fresh gown with kindness and respect. She guided us through every step, explaining each procedure so that both my mother and I clearly understood what was happening. When my mother mentioned that she felt a strange, crawling sensation moving up her leg, Christine immediately responded with concern and quick action. Without hesitation, she assessed the situation and promptly applied compression cuffs to improve circulation and reduce the risk of blood clots.
Her attentiveness and proactive care gave us tremendous peace of mind, knowing my mother’s safety was her top priority. Christine also went above and beyond to ensure my mother’s comfort—assisting with her meal order, checking on her frequently, and offering reassurance when the pain became difficult. She continuously reminded my mother that she was not alone and that she was there to help with anything she needed. Even the charge nurse, Celine, stopped in to introduce herself, which showed how well Christine coordinated care as part of a thoughtful, attentive team.
Later that evening, when I called to check in, I was comforted to know that my mother was resting peacefully. The next morning, I arrived to find my mother sitting up, smiling, and telling me, “I really like her — she’s so nice, caring, and even made me laugh.” That moment said everything.
