I came into the ER with my 1-year-old for what we thought was just a rash, but on the way in, he had two seizures. Needless to say, I was completely frazzled and overwhelmed. From the moment Paige walked in, she was so kind not only to my son but to me as well. I immediately felt that he was in good hands. My son is also a very difficult stick for blood draws or IVs, and past experiences have not been the most positive. Paige came in with confidence and took charge when starting his IV, and she absolutely nailed it. There are only a select few people I trust to attempt IVs on him, and now she is one of them. She truly rocked it and made what could have been a traumatic experience so much easier. I feel so blessed that she was our nurse. For the first time, I actually felt sad to be leaving the ER, knowing we wouldn't get to keep her as our nurse.
