Flo was compassionate, and caring. She took the time to get to know T and help him achieve the most comfort according to his wants and needs. She advocated for him and took his pain seriously. Her passion was shown in everything she did - not just in the clinical skill but also in the way she listened to our concerns and addressed them. She didn't just follow a list of steps and protocol but she looked beyond the box and considered the whole person. She approached every interaction with empathy, never rushing, and always making sure all needs were met before she left the room.

I trusted her to take care of T and advocate for him in areas where I could not. She worked with her colleagues and peers to ensure that nothing slipped through the cracks. Her love for not only her patients but also for their families was evident. After making sure T was good, she would always check with me to make sure I was fed and taken care of as well - that's true selflessness. That's a true nurse. That's a DAISY Nurse.
