I had an outpatient surgery at a different hospital a day and a half before I was brought by ambulance to Hutchinson Health and underwent surgery for internal bleeding. After my surgery, I stayed in the OB department for my recovery. Amanda was an exceptional nurse. She even cared for my husband while he was waiting for me to get out of surgery. She brought him food and reminded him he needed to eat and rest after being up all night with me.

Amanda was exceptional in caring for me. She has a heart to serve her patients. She checked in often, listened to my concerns, treated me with patience and dignity and never made me feel bad for needing help with things. From assisting me to the restroom, to offering suggestions to help relieve my pain and hugging me as the tears flowed down my cheeks with the nerves of going home in the worry this would happen again, she was there for it all. God had his hand with her being apart of our story. I will always be grateful for the exceptional care she provided. I don't think I will ever be able to express my gratitude to her. She is so deserving of this Award.
