Ms. Williams was excellent during my recent hospital admission to Miami Valley South. I went to the ER and was subsequently admitted to the hospital for further testing. I was tired, upset, and just wanted to be discharged, during which time I felt the tests could be done outpatient. Ms. Williams was caring, friendly, and very attentive. She was persistent in getting the tests scheduled and results reviewed in a timely manner. She communicated frequently with updates on the status of my discharge. She truly made an unfortunate situation manageable for my family and me. I will always be grateful for the care and compassion she displayed toward me.

Shannon Williams is a good nurse. She doesn’t duck and dive her patients like other nurses who don’t want to be bothered. Shannon comes in when I call her, and she wastes no time. She really loves her patients and cares for us. She needs a raise. She comes in from 7 to 7, and there is no doubt that she is the best nurse on the floor.

I’m hospitalized almost every 4-8 weeks here. I’ve had so much trouble getting my meds on a schedule that keeps my chronic pain under control. Shannon made it a point to keep to the times that they were due, and with respect for me. I was treated like I was a person and not, for lack of a better description, a drug addict. She made it a point to know my history and really understand why I was on the medication. She also made sure that the next shift knew how important my schedule was. She was compassionate and caring.
