She found out that one of our EVS colleagues was saving to afford leg braces after qualifying for health care through her job and getting a doctor's appointment. Within 24 hours, Michelle had taken it upon herself to raise the money from ED colleague donations to ensure this colleague was able to get these and not need to save her hard earned money for this medical necessity.

This is an example of "do amazing work" and "build community" and "show compassion." She did this without any fanfare or expecting kudos simply because she saw a need for one of our hardest working colleagues and made sure it got met. While she always works hard to care for patients, has cared for this community for more years through good times and bad, she still daily goes above and beyond to help our colleagues so they can continue to take care of our community.
