I am nominating Amy for the DAISY Award because she went far above and beyond during my labor and delivery. My labor lasted much longer than expected, yet Amy selflessly stayed 3.5 hours past her shift to remain by my side. She explained every step, kept me calm when I was overwhelmed, and gave me the encouragement I needed to keep going. When the provider hadn’t yet arrived, Amy confidently stepped in and caught my baby, making sure both of us were safe and cared for. Her dedication, compassion, and unwavering presence transformed one of the most vulnerable moments of my life into an experience filled with trust, gratitude, and joy.
