My mom came to Encompass twice within two months. The first time was to recover from sepsis, and the second time was for hypothalamic shock. Each time, she had wounds on her legs due to vascular insufficiency. Michael was excellent and knowledgeable in treating these. He took the time and care each time he tended to them by walking us through exactly what he was doing, how they were healing, and why he was treating them the way he was. He is one of the friendliest and most cheerful people I have ever met. He truly loves his job! When it came time for him to train us on how to do it at home, he explained each step clearly and gave us written notes that were easy to follow. I was also impressed that he advocates for patients' needs outside of the wounds. For example, he advocated for an air bed instead of the regular hospital bed for my mom so that it would be better for her blood flow. It arrived that same day! He also advocated for a blow-up Repose pillow under her legs at night instead of a regular pillow. He is on top of his game and knows which new developments would be best for his patients. I honestly have never met a more competent nurse with such excellent bedside manner!! Our whole family was impressed!
