Janice sat with my mom and calmly talked to her for two hours. My mom was having an angry bout of delirium, and the nurses were thinking that she may need to be in restraints, so she wouldn’t hurt herself or the staff. Janice was so kind and patient with my mom. Getting her settled and to sleep, encouraging our family to go home and get a good night's sleep because, in her words, “We got this and she is in safe hands.”

This night was looking anything but calm before Janice came to the room because my mom was so angry and confused. I think because of her safe intervention and care for my mom, we had a good result, and my mom was able to be discharged back to her apartment a whole day early. The whole staff was wonderful with mom and our family.
