1st Nomination
From the time that Joel greeted us in the waiting room until the time that he assisted my wife in getting in the car after being discharged, Joel treated us like we were his only patients. Joel was very thorough in explaining how our visit would go, then asked whether there were any concerns or questions, which he addressed very professionally and sincerely.

Perhaps what stands out most about Joel is that he makes the visit personal because he really listens and is keen on picking up on his patient's needs and likes, and then ensures that he incorporates what he learns about the patient and allows that knowledge to guide how he talks and cares for the patient. Joel is a great ambassador for his team and hospital. Thank you Joel for all that you did to make our visit pleasant and enjoyable.

2nd Nomination
Joel came out to greet me and helped me get ready for my biopsy. He asked me if I understood the procedure and what I could expect. He was great when he asked for help to get my IV started. He was patient with me after my procedure and kept me in good spirits until I was ready to go home.
