She never once made us feel like we couldn’t talk about the babies we had lost.
Camille is the true definition of caring and compassionate. I had her as my nurse for my second 18-week pregnancy loss. As a prior L&D nurse, I know how difficult these situations are for everyone involved. I had Camille during the night, while I was laboring. I was experiencing pretty significant pain. Camille was at my bedside almost the entire night long. She sat holding my hand during contractions, she rubbed my back, and most importantly, sat and talked with my husband and me. She spoke with us about all of our children, including both babies that we lost at 18 weeks. She remembered their names, she listened to the details of our children and family, and acknowledged all of our children. She never once made us feel like we couldn’t talk about the babies we had lost. Camille never made us feel like she was in a hurry to go to the next task. She brought a calming presence to an extremely tough time. I am honored to be in the same profession as Camille!
