After having 3 stents placed in the Cardiac Cath Lab, I was told that I needed to stay the night in the ICU for special observation and to ensure that all repairs were completed properly. My nurse, Gabe, was excellent in his care. When he walked into my room to provide care, he paid me singular attention. Gabe made it very clear he was concerned for me and my needs. He obviously wants to provide excellent care. He never seemed distracted by the weight of his work with other patients. He was generally concerned for my well-being and provided exceptional care. I am hard to care for as I am a joker to the 9th degree. You could say I am the "Missouri twin to Jeff Foxworthy," and Gabe took my "hillbilly humor" and smiled through it all. He took caring to a higher level.
