Scott is an outstanding team player. He is always ready to help his fellow nurses, whether he is leading or not. His professionalism and calm demeanor provide comfort to both patients and staff. An example of his character happened during a difficult ICU admission. The patient was very agitated and violent, putting himself and the care team at risk. Despite multiple attempts to calm the situation and the involvement of three security staff, the situation remained tense. Throughout this time, Scott stayed at the front line. Even when the patient scratched him, he focused on keeping the patient and staff safe. His selfless actions and calm presence during this high-stress moment show his dedication to providing safe, quality care and teamwork. Scott did not step away or wait for instructions; he took initiative, showed courage, and offered the support needed until the patient was safely stabilized. Thank you, Scott, for all that you do!
