From holding my hand, to drying my tears, to stroking my hair. She was there comforting me.
There are certain people who are born with a little extra something. People that God has blessed with a sprinkle of His light. I truly believe he sent this nurse to me at one of the most difficult times in my life. I know it is silly to say I could never have made it through my situation without this nurse because, obviously, I would have, but wouldn't have gotten through it without them. It would not have happened. No way, no how. I would have been done.
I remember waking up to the worst pain ever, saying, "I'm not doing this." Someone asked, "What are you doing?" to which I replied. "This!" pointing to the area from which the pain was emanating. The next thing I knew, I was waking up to Angela taking care of me. From holding my hand, to drying my tears, to stroking my hair. She was there comforting me. She did what my mother would have done had she still been with us.
Angela saved me from the hell that was recovery. She made it possible to get through. It's because of her that I went from "I'm not doing this" to "I'm doing this, right here and right now!"
