I would like to nominate Jazminne for the DAISY Award for the extraordinary compassion, professionalism, and clinical excellence she demonstrated while caring for a patient who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

From the moment the patient arrived in the ETC, Jazminne remained calm, focused, and highly attentive. Despite the high-stress nature of the situation, she created an environment of safety and dignity-not only for the patient, but for the family members who were overwhelmed and terrified. Her ability to provide life-saving interventions while offering reassuring words and therapeutic presence was nothing short of remarkable.

After the immediate crisis passed, Jazminne continued to provide exceptional care for all the trauma patients. She ensured wound care was meticulous, communicated clearly with the interdisciplinary team, and made sure the patient and family understood every step of the patient's healing process. She checked in frequently, not just as a nurse but as a compassionate caregiver who truly cared about her patient's recovery, physically and emotionally.

The courage, empathy, and clinical skills Jazminne displayed that day embody everything The DAISY Award stands for. She turned a traumatic moment into one of trust, comfort, and hope. We are grateful for her heart, her hands, and her heroism.
