Flo is so special to me because I have never had a nurse so kind, so caring like her! She was there for me when I was very nervous and scared. I had to get two stents exchanged. My husband was unable to be here with me due to needing to be with our children. We have 3 boys ages 9, 7, and 4. Since I was by myself getting ready for my procedure, I got more and more nervous, and I started to cry. My amazing nurse stepped up and listened to me cry and listened to me talk about my fears. She calmed me down and comforted me, making me feel safe. She told me I was like her, wanting to be in control, and I needed to let go and trust her and her team. She hugged me and stayed with me until I composed myself. I will forever remember her and be thankful for her love and compassion. I went into my procedure confident and not worried or scared. When she had her shift change to leave, I hugged her and thanked her. She made me feel safe and confident that his hospital and her medical team would take amazing care of me. They did, just like she did!
