I had the pleasure and blessing of being cared for by Christine Parker, RN, during my recent stay. I want to share just how much her care meant to me and why she truly deserves this recognition.

From the first moment Christine walked into my room, I felt a sense of peace. She greeted me with a warm smile and a gentle voice, and I could tell right away that she genuinely cared—not just about doing her job, but about me as a person. Being in the hospital can be frightening, especially at my age, but Christine made me feel safe, respected, and at ease.

She took the time to explain every medication, every test, and every part of my treatment so I never felt confused or in the dark. She would check on me often without even being asked, just to make sure I was comfortable. It wasn’t just the big things—although those were important—it was also the small, thoughtful gestures: adjusting my pillows, bringing me water just the way I like it, taking the time to listen to my stories when I needed a little comfort, or simply holding my hand when I felt anxious.

Christine treated me like family. She was always patient, no matter how many questions I had or how many times I needed help. She moved quickly when I needed her, but never rushed me when I needed a moment. She truly made me feel like I mattered, and that gave me strength I didn’t know I had.

In my eyes, Christine is everything a nurse should be—compassionate, capable, attentive, and kind. Her presence made my hospital stay not only bearable but meaningful. She turned what could have been a frightening time into a healing experience. I will never forget her kindness, and I’ll always be grateful for the care she gave me—not just physically, but emotionally too.
