My visit to the Marshfield Medical Center ER after my varicose vein surgery was made notably better by the caring attention and professionalism of Jessica Hruza. Due to pain, I had not slept for more than an hour at a time in the week since my surgery. No pain medicine worked at all to alleviate the sharp stabbing nerve pain. Then my leg swelled up like a balloon overnight, so my doctor recommended an ER visit. Jessica was thorough and attentive in everything she did to make me as comfortable as possible. She explained everything in amazing detail. Took time to check up on me prior to and after my ultrasound, my IV, for pain medications, and made sure I was as comfortable as possible, bringing blankets and answering questions.

She clarified things that were unclear to me, all the time exuding a calm and delightful demeanor that made me feel like I was being helped by a close friend or family member, rather than an on-the-clock employee. I learned of her 20+ years of experience, and it really showed.

Jessica even went the extra mile to look up and find me a manufacturer's coupon for assistance with the expensive medicine that was prescribed. This took away much of my worries and helped me decide what the appropriate next steps would be to mitigate the pain I was experiencing.

I felt like I was leaving a friend when I was discharged. Thank you, Jessica, for making a long, exhausting ordeal much more tolerable and ultimately helping lead me to a faster and better recovery.

I will never forget how much difference she made during my scary and stressful recovery.
