1st Nomination
Louis is an exceptional nurse because, at all times, he made me feel he was my friend and advocated for me as a nurse. He answered every question with patience and in a way I could understand. He was instrumental in setting up IVs (which seemed complex) in an effort to get my heart back in rhythm medically. When the cardiologist PA said this didn't work and that I needed an electrical conversion, Louis listened but didn't interfere. I felt he was watching out for me. When the PA left, Louis knew I was upset, and he came right to me and calmed me. Then he re-explained all the PA said, but in a way I could understand. Louis took away all my fears. Clearly, he knows what he is doing. Nursing is not just a job for him. Nursing is who Louis is!

I feel totally confident in his skilled hands. He is compassionate, puts the patient first, and really is wonderful. He has my total trust.

2nd Nomination
Louis is an outstanding staff member - very knowledgeable, professional, excellent communicator, patient, and compassionate. He always gave attention when required and took time to answer all my questions. Clearly loves his profession and cares about the patients he serves. A true asset to Advent Health and to the medical profession.
