Katie notices the small changes in patient conditions and is always advocating for their needs. Recently, Katie played a critical role in saving a patient’s life during a medical emergency. Katie strongly advocated for her patient by calling BRAT when she knew something was wrong and wasn't getting necessary orders from the attending. She assisted in stabilizing the patient and transferring the patient to ICU. Katie's actions not only prevented a tragic outcome but also demonstrated high standards of nursing practice. Katie goes above and beyond for all of her patients, and she is an amazing nurse who deserves top tier recognition!
