Throughout my stay in the ICU, she has demonstrated highly qualified care in her work. I could tell how much she loved her job.
I was intubated on a Monday evening and didn't wake until late Thursday, early Friday morning. Rebecca was the first face I saw upon waking. I asked if she was an angel and if I was in heaven.
Throughout my stay in the ICU, she has demonstrated highly qualified care in her work. I could tell how much she loved her job. She answered my questions, always made sure I was ok. It was her spirit that connected with mine. I felt safe with her, and I didn't feel like I was being a burden to her. She always kept me informed on all medications I was receiving and what they were for.
She always made sure I had the CNA's help to make sure I was clean, and she was on top of everything she did. The most important thing for me is how she made me feel. She assured me, not by her words, but through her actions, that I was in good hands. For someone who had been intubated for 3 days, waking up to trying to figure out what had happened and where I was, having this type of care and love was very nurturing, and it made me feel valued.
I love Rebecca and am very grateful for her care. I wish her the best in all that she does.
