The patient had done something she once believed was impossible, and Angelle helped her to accomplish her goal.
Angelle, one of our dedicated Labor & Delivery nurses, recently helped a patient achieve something deeply personal and powerful: a natural childbirth. From the start of her labor, the patient was committed to delivering without pain medication. But as the hours wore on and the intensity of labor built, doubt began to set in. With exhaustion in her voice and tears in her eyes, she said the words so many mothers speak in those final moments: “I don’t think I can do this.” That’s when Angelle leaned in not just as a nurse, but as a steady, grounding force. She stayed at the bedside, calmly coaching, encouraging, and breathing alongside the patient through every contraction. Her words were more than support- they were belief, gently reminding the patient of her strength when she had forgotten it herself.
With Angelle’s unwavering presence, the patient pushed through the final stages of labor and reached her goal. When her baby was born, there were tears- not just of relief, but of pride, joy, and gratitude. The patient had done something she once believed was impossible, and Angelle helped her to accomplish her goal.
