She was informative, confident, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She dictated care and was prompt with results and on point with the plan of care.
My brother was admitted to the hospital, and within 24 hours, he was in the ICU, and 72 hours later, we were saying our last goodbyes. While there were many great staff members, there was one who stood out among all the others.

Callie was a great support to my mother, who is not clinical. My mom was very appreciative of her. Every time I spoke with my mother on the phone, she would tell me everything that was going on and what was being explained to her, which I knew could only be from a nurse who was patient and took the time to truly make sure my mother understood, which can be a challenge.

What really stood out to me was when my mom told me that Callie could tell when she was really sad and would talk to her about many different things to get her mind off everything going on and just make her feel at ease. This meant the world to me since I was not able to be there when he was first admitted to the ICU. I, on the other hand, am an experienced ICU nurse, and that in and of itself can be difficult in emotional scenarios when it's so close to home, as in your own family in the bed.

Callie had already been told that I was an ICU nurse, and so when I got to my brother's side, she immediately knew what I needed to hear. She was informative, confident, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She dictated care and was prompt with results and on point with the plan of care. I knew my brother was in good hands. While we knew what the outcome would ultimately be, I was confident that nothing was being missed, and that was all because Callie, who was the front person to that plan of care.

We truly appreciate her, and mostly for how she treated my brother and my mother. Thank you, Callie.
